Construction of Iran’s Narin Steel to be finished by March 2011
Construction of Narin Steel, an Iranian rolling mill with an annual capacity of 60,000 mt for the production of long products (mainly rebar ) will be completed by the end of the current Iranian year (March 2011). The project has progressed about 40 percent physically to date, while an investment of about Rials 35 billion (about $3.5 million) is to be spent on the project. Narin Steel will expand its annual rolling capacity to 200,000 mt once its second phase is constructed in the future. Narin Steel is located in Sardasht city close to the Iraqi border.
