Columbus Stainless to keep up with schedule despite strike

Stainless steelmaker of Spain Acerinox declared that production schedule at its 64% owned subsidiary Columbus Stainless won't be interrupted even if The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) workers realize the strike action. As Columbus Steel in South Africa has some plans at hand for this case, company assured that production and deliveries to customers will keep its track. Last week, NUMSA stated that member workers which account for 24% of total workforce of Columbus Stainless, voted to strike this week due to unwelcome wage rises ranging between 4.5-16%, which is apart from 15% increase demanded by the union.
