Colombian crude steel production increases in June

Colombian crude steel output in June rose 14 percent, year-on-year, to 120,050 mt, according to the local Committee of Steel Producers (CPA). Crude steel production in June decreased 3.2 percent, month-on-month, from 124,081 mt in May 2019.

CPA said Colombian long finished steel production in June was 116,388 mt, 4 percent up, year-on-year, but 10.6 percent down, month-on-month.

As for H1, Colombian crude steel output reached 673,035 mt, 17.6 percent up, year-on-year. CPA said local long finished steel output in H1 increased 9.5 percent, year-on-year, to 677,395 mt.
