Coal transshipments at Russian seaports up 13.2 percent in Jan-Feb

According to the data issued by Russia's Association of Commercial Sea Ports, in the first two months of the current year freight traffic passing through the ports of Russia increased by 0.5 percent year on year to 77.9 million mt.
 
During the period in question, the export cargo handled at Russian ports amounted to 58.8 million mt - down 3.9 percent compared to January-February 2010. 

Meanwhile, in January-February 2011, the transshipment of coal through Russia's ports increased by 13.2 percent year on year to 10.2 million mt, and transshipment of ore went up by 2.2 times year on year, amounting to 1.4 million mt.  However, the transshipment of ferrous metals decreased by 16.5 percent year on year.
