CITIC Pacific eyes 20 million mt annual iron ore output from Australian assets

Kong Dan, chairman of Hong Kong-based Chinese raw materials supplier CITIC Pacific, has stated that the company's assets in Australia will begin operations this year, targeting a 20 million mt annual iron ore output.
 
In January, CITIC Pacific had announced that it will commission production of magnetite iron ore concentrate at its Sino Iron ore project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia in late July this year. In H2 2011, preparations will begin for the launch of a second iron ore production line.
