CISA: Iron ore prices in China decrease during November

Iron ore prices in China decreased during the month of November, as stated in a new report issued by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

At the end of November this year, the China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) stood at 241.92 points, down 30.22 points or 11.10 percent compared to the end of October. In particular, the domestic production iron ore price index was at 248.38 points, down 5.78 points or 2.27 percent month on month, while the import iron ore price index stood at 240.95 points, decreasing by 33.91 points or 12.34 percent month on month.

For the whole of November, the average China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) was at 263.30 points, up 1.23 points or 0.47 percent compared to the end of October. In particular, the average domestic production iron ore price index stood at 255.10 points, up 8.46 points or 3.43 percent month on month, while the average import iron ore price index stood at 264.54 points, increasing by 0.14 points or 0.05 percent month on month.
