Chongqing Steel to invest RMB 730 million in sinter and coke oven projects

On December 24, Chongqing city-based Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel Corporation Ltd (Chongqing Steel) announced that its board has approved the investment of RMB 330 million in a sinter project as well as the investment of another RMB 400 million in a coke oven project, with both projects to be implemented in Changshou, Chongqing.

Chongqing Steel disclosed that, upon completion of these projects, its annual sinter production capacity will increase by 3.56 million mt and its annual coke output capacity will rise by 600,000 mt.
