According to the organizers of the China International Municipal Equipment Expo 2011 which will be held in Guangzhou, China on March 30-April 1, in the next five years a total of RMB 7 trillion ($1.0558 trillion) will be invested in the construction of public infrastructure in China.

With the rapid development of the Chinese economy, purchases of private automotive vehicles have registered rapid growth, especially in the main Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and others. However, transportation problems in Chinese cities have become increasingly serious, with traffic congestion becoming a major problem. In this context, the construction of public infrastructure in China in the 12th five-year plan period (2011-2015) will increase.
