Chinese high-speed trains to enter British market

According to a statement issued by Beijing-based Chinese company CSR Corporation Limited (CSR) on February 17, Britain is expected to rent or purchase high-speed bullet trains produced by the CSR Corporation.
 
A senior executive at CRC has disclosed that Britain is considering adopting Chinese high-speed train technology. CSR is expected to send trains to Britain as part of high-speed railway reconstruction in Britain. New train design plans are also expected to be discussed. A joint venture may be established when cooperation deepens, the executive said.
 
CSR's main business range covers research and development, manufacturing, sales, refurbishment, leasing and relevant technical service, and other business in the field of railway locomotives, passenger carriages, freight wagons, rapid transit vehicles and key related components, as well as other businesses that utilize proprietary rolling stock technologies.
