China’s steel scrap imports down 5.32 percent to 133,800 mt in H1

China’s steel scrap imports amounted to 133,800 mt in the January-June period this year, down 5.32 percent year on year, according to the Chinese customs authorities.

In June alone, China’s steel scrap imports totaled 19,400 mt, down 17.81 percent month on month, while up 31.9 percent year on year.
