China's steel imports in 2007

In 2007, China imported 16.86 million mt of steel. Japan became the largest steel import source for China at 6.74 million mt, followed by South Korea at 3.63 million mt. Meanwhile, Taiwan accounted for the third largest share of Chinese steel imports at 3.37 million mt.
