China’s overall rail passenger volume up 9.8 percent in Jan-Sept

In the January-September period this year, the passenger volume on China’s railways amounted to 1.9362 billion, up 9.8 percent year on year, while the passenger traffic volume on China’s railways amounted to 941.769 billion people-km, up 6.7 percent year on year, as announced by China Railway Corporation.
 
In the January-September period of the current year, China’s rail freight volume amounted to 2.52363 billion mt, while the rail freight traffic volume on China’s railways totaled 1.778076 trillion ton-kilometers.
