China's foreign trade value up 8.4 percent in October

In October of the current year, China's total foreign trade value amounted to $368.328 billion, indicating a year-on-year increase of 8.4 percent, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. In the given period, the total value of China's exports amounted to $206.867 billion, up 11.6 percent, while Chinese imports totaled $161.441 billion in value, up 4.6 percent, resulting in a trade surplus of $45.405 billion, all on year-on-year basis.

In the January-October period of the current year, China's foreign trade value amounted to $3.530574 trillion, up 3.8 percent, with a total export value of $1.903841 trillion, increasing by 5.8 percent, and a total import value of $1.626733 trillion, up 1.6 percent, all year on year. The trade surplus for the period in question was $277.107 billion.
