China’s foreign trade value down 8.5 percent in January-November

In November this year, China’s total foreign trade value amounted to $340.382 billion, indicating a month-on-month increase of 5.4 percent and a year-on-year decrease of 7.6 percent, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on December 8. In the given month, the total value of China’s exports amounted to $197.242 billion, up 2.5 percent month on month and decreasing by 6.8 percent year on year, while Chinese imports totaled $143.139 billion in value, up 9.5 percent month on month and declining by 8.7 percent year on year, resulting in a trade surplus of $54.103 billion.

In the January-November period of the current year, China’s total foreign trade value amounted to $3.565528 trillion, down 8.5 percent year on year, while the total value of China’s exports and imports amounted to $2.05232 trillion and $1.513208 trillion, down 3.0 percent and declining by 15.1 percent year on year, respectively, resulting in a trade surplus of $539.111 billion in the given period.
