Huang Songping, spokesman for China’s General Administration of Customs, has stated that the global economy is expected to indicate growth in 2018, while the Chinese economy is also expected to show steady growth in the given year, which will exert a positive impact on China's foreign trade. However, he said it will be hard for China’s foreign trade to maintain double-digit growth in 2018, given the high comparison base in 2017. Mr. Huang said he expects that China’s foreign trade will show rapid growth in 2018, though growing at a slower pace compared to 2017.
