Benxi Iron & Steel Co has succeeded in 2,300 mm hot conti rolling mill test run on December 1st 2008. The hot conti rolling production line, designed with the world first-class technology and crafts, also achieves a good performance on environmental protection.
The 2,300 mm hot conti-rolling units is expected to produce 5.15 million mt of hot rolled sheet of diversified specifications with the width of 1,000 mm to 2,150 mm and the thickness of 1.2 mm to 25.4 mm. The units can produce high value-added and high-tech steel varieties including X80 oil pipeline steel, extra width auto sheet, high-grade household appliance sheet, shipbuilding plate, high-strength structure steel, 300-400-series stainless steel, steel plate for welded gas cylinders, structural steel for bridge, plate and sheet for automobile frames, IF steel, DP and MP and TRIP steel.
