China’s finished steel exports increase by 7.5 percent in 2025

In December last year, China’s finished steel exports amounted to 11.301 million mt, rising by 13.2 percent month on month, while increasing by 16.1 percent year on year, according to the latest data released by China's General Administration of Customs (GACC).

In December 2025, China’s finished steel imports reached 517,000 mt, rising by 4.2 percent month on month, while decreasing by 16.6 percent year on year.

In 2025 overall, China’s finished steel exports totaled 119.02 million mt, up 7.5 percent year on year, while China’s finished steel imports amounted to 6.059 million mt, down 11.1 percent year on year.
