In May this year, China’s excavator sales amounted to 17,824 units, up 6.04 percent year on year, according to the statistics for major excavator manufacturing enterprises issued by the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA).
In particular, in May, excavator sales in the Chinese domestic market came to 8,518 units, up 29.2 percent year on year, while excavator sales to the export market totaled 9,306 units, down 8.92 percent year on year.
In the January-May period this year, China’s excavator sales amounted to 86,610 units, down 6.92 percent year on year, including 45,746 units in the Chinese domestic market, up 1.81 percent year on year, and 40,864 units to the export market, down 15.1 percent year on year.
