China’s coking coal imports increase by 29.5 percent in January-May

In the January-May period this year, China imported 29.66 million mt of coking coal, up 29.5 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. 

In May alone, China imported 5.92 million mt of coking coal, down 2.4 percent year on year.
