China’s coal output up 5.1 percent in January-September

In the January-September period of the current year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 2.59 billion mt, increasing by 5.1 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). In August alone, China’s raw coal output amounted to 306.0 million mt, up 5.2 percent year on year.
