Coal production in Shanxi up 1.44 percent in January-May

In May this year, coal production in China's Shanxi Province amounted to 88.6547 million mt, constituting the highest monthly volume so far in the current year, up 10.01 million mt or 12.73 percent month on month, while indicating an increase of 5.04 million mt or 6.03 percent year on year, as announced by Shanxi provincial authorities.

In the January-May period this year, Shanxi produced 387 million mt of coal, up just 1.44 percent year on year.
