China’s coal imports increase by 1.3 percent in January-March 2026

In the January-March period this year, China’s coal imports (all types) totaled 116.279 million mt, up 1.3 percent year on year, according to the latest data released by China's General Administration of Customs (GACC).

In March alone, China’s coal imports amounted to 39.059 million mt, up 26.2 percent month on month.
