China’s coal imports decrease by 9.6 percent in 2025

In 2025, China’s coal imports totaled 490.27 million mt, down 9.6 percent year on year, according to the latest data released by China's General Administration of Customs (GACC). 

In December alone, China’s coal imports amounted to 58.597 million mt, up 11.9 percent year on year, while rising by 33.0 percent month on month
