China’s coal exports down 47 percent in January-September

In September this year, China exported 177,000 mt of coal, decreasing by 74.35 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. In the same month, China imported 25.14 million mt of coal, decreasing by 7.2 percent year on year.

In the January-September of the current year, China exported 3.45 million mt of coal, down 47 percent year on year, while its coal imports totaled 228.95 million mt, up 11.8 percent year on year.
