China’s coal exports down 43.8 percent in January-August

In August this year, China exported 486,000 mt of coal, increasing significantly compared to the exports of 60,000 mt in August last year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. In the same month, China imported 28.679 million mt of coal, increasing by 13.5 percent year on year.

In the January-August of the current year, China exported 3.275 million mt of coal, down 43.8 percent year on year, while its coal imports totaled 203.818 million mt, up 14.7 percent year on year.
