China’s average daily crude steel output exceeds 2 million mt in late June

According to the figures released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in late June (June 21-30) this year the total crude steel production of 76 main members of the association came to 16.92 million mt, with the average daily crude steel output level increasing by 3.21 percent compared to mid-June, rising to 1.69 million mt.
 
Based on the above data, the CISA estimates that the total daily crude steel output of all steel producers in China in late June was 20.18 million mt, with an average daily output level of 2.02 million mt, exceeding 2 million mt for the first time ever.
