China Steel reports 4.4 million mt output in H1 2011

On July 20, Taiwan's largest integrated steelmaker China Steel Corporation (China Steel) announced sales and income results for the first half of 2011. China Steel reported 4.4 million mt output in the first six months of 2011, while in June alone it produced 727,354 mt.

According to the company statement, the sales volume of China Steel reached 2.38 million mt in the second quarter. The operating revenue increased by NTD$7.12 billion (US$246 million) to NTD$63.3 billion (US$2.1 billion), compared to the operating revenue of NTD$56.51 billion (US$1.9 billion) achieved in the previous quarter.
