Chinese Ministry of Commerce has announced that it has reopened the antidumping duty investigation on stainless steel tube imports from the EU and Japan, regardless of the World Trade Organization (WTO) appellate body decision in October last year that the duties imposed by the Chinese authorities were illegal in the light of WTO rules.

The antidumping duties ranging from 9.7 percent to 39.2 percent were imposed in May 2012.
