Canadian iron ore miner Central Iron Ore Ltd has announced that it has completed the survey of its Perinvale South iron ore hub, one of its four regional hubs in Yilgarn iron ore project in Western Australia. The data revealed several magnetic anomalies with a combined strike length in excess of 12 km. The results will be used to develop exploration drilling targets and are expected during the next quarter.
Central Iron Ore now has a total of 10 tenements covering 652 km2 that are located within the Yilgarn iron ore province which is considered as an attractive location for the development of iron ore projects, given its proximity to rail and access to ports.
The initial strategy and objective of the Central Iron Ore is to evaluate the occurrence of both magnetite ore and direct shipping ore (DSO) within the below tenements to gain an initial understanding of their respective resource potential. The initial area of focus for Central Iron Ore is its Perinvale South iron ore hub.
