Canadian steel fabricator to open plant in South Carolina

St. Romuald, Quebec-based Supermetal Friday announced plans to open a steel plant in York County, South Carolina.  The plant is forecasted to have an annual production capacity of 45,000 tons.

The plant, to be located what was formerly known as the Worthington Steel Building, will begin operations toward the end of Q3 of this year.

Supermetal supplies, fabricates and erects structural steel for all types of projects in all sectors including commercial, institutional, industrial and civil. Bridges, offices towers, research centre and large-scale works are among its projects.
