According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 5,365,852 mt of iron ore concentrates in April 2025, down 2.4 percent from March and down 3.3 percent from April 2024.
Canadian iron ore producers shipped 4,219,376 mt of iron ore concentrates in April, up 24.9 percent from March and up 16.4 percent from April 2024.
Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 10,665,936 mt in April, compared to 11,381,961 mt in March and 9,267,440 mt in April 2024.
