The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced that it has initiated an expiry review of the antidumping duties on hot rolled carbon steel plate from China, imposed on January 9, 2008. The antidumping duties are due to expire on January 8, 2013.

According to the statement, on August 23, 2012, the Canada Border Services Agency (BSA) will determine if there is a likelihood of continuation or recurrence of dumping. In the event of a positive determination, the tribunal will determine, on January 8, 2013, whether the continuation or recurrence of dumping is likely to result in injury to the domestic market.
