Bulgaria’s rolled steel exports up 44.8 percent in Jan-Sept

According to the latest data released by the The Bulgarian Association of the Metallurgical Industry (BAMI), in the first nine months of the current year Bulgaria's crude steel output rose 16.5 percent year on year to 655,100 mt.

Meanwhile, Bulgarian rolled steel production in the January-September period totaled 842,600 mt, increasing 23.35 percent compared to the same period last year. In the period in question, Bulgaria exported 711,200 mt of its rolled steel products, up 44.8 percent year on year. 63.4 percent of Bulgaria's rolled steel exports in the given period consisted of long products, increasing 46 percent compared to the same period of 2010.
