According to local Bulgarian press reports citing Bulgaria's economy minister Petar Dimitrov, the only main bidder for the purchase of the country's insolvent steel mill Kremikovtzi remains Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN).

As SteelOrbis previously reported, last week Bulgaria's Ministry of Energy and Economy received a letter from Russian company Finprominvest expressing a general interest in Kremikovtzi, after Ukraine-based Smart Group had withdrawn its offer for the mill. However, the Ministry conducted only general talks with Finland-registered Finprominvest which has both Russian and Western shareholders.
