Brazilian silicon metal exports decline for four consecutive months

According to Brazil’s foreign trade ministry, MDIC, export shipments of silicon metal declined 21.4 percent to 12,985 mt in September 2017 from 16,511 mt in September 2016. Shipments to the US were 5,964 mt (45.9 percent) in September 2017 compared to 6,135 (37 percent) mt in the same month last year.

According to the MDIC, Brazil’s silicon metal exports have decreased for the last four months year-over-year.
