Benxi Steel achieves GM Pan-Asia certification for two more auto sheet grades

Auto sheets of grades CR340LA and CR210P produced by Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Benxi Iron and Steel Corporation Ltd (Benxi Steel) have successfully received US carmaker General Motor's Pan-Asia certification. To date, a total of 14 grades of auto sheets produced by Benxi Steel have passed the certification tests in question, ranking second in China behind steel giant Baosteel in terms of the number of these certifications received for auto sheets.

The Shanghai, China-based Pan-Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC) is a joint venture between America-based General Motors and the top Chinese automotive corporation Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation. It is the largest automotive design, development, engineering and certification center in China.
