Belon acquires Novaya-2 coal mine

Belon Group, a leader in Russia's coal sector, acquired Novaya-2 coal mine located at the Chertinskoye coal deposit in the Kemerevo region. The final deal with the former owner Severstal-Resurs was made after four month of negotiations. Novaya-2 has large coking coal of the finest quality deposit, which is very essential on Russian market. Belon Group intends to make large investments in technological reconstruction of the mine to increase its productivity.
