Belarusian production results for H1

According to the data of the Ministry of Statistics and Analyses of the Republic of Belarus, the country's production of crude steel increased 8.3 percent year on year to 1.17 million metric tons in the first half of 2006. In addition, the production of finished steel products rose 12.1 percent to 1.18 million metric tons and that of pipes rose 34.4 percent to 62,900 metric tons during the same period.
