Belarus issues Q1 2008 production results

According to the data released by Belarus' Statistics and Analysis Ministry, in the first three months of 2008 the country registered a 10.8 percent increase in its crude steel production, an 8.7 percent increase in its finished steel products output and a 23.1 percent rise in its steel pipe output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 660,600, 707,300 and 42,500.
