Belarusian crude steel output rises by 3.3 percent in January-August

According to data released by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in the first eight months of the current year the value of metallurgical production in Belarus increased by 2.5 percent compared to the same period of last year to BYR 26.380 trillion ($3.1 billion) .
 
In particular, in the given period crude steel production in Belarus increased by 3.3 percent to 1.922 million mt, the output of rolled steel went up by four percent to 1.751 million mt, while production of steel pipes rose by 1.7 percent to 155,800 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
