Bayi Steel completes steel supplies for project in Urumqi, Xinjiang

According to Chinese steel giant Baosteel Group, its Xinjiang region-based subsidiary Bayi Iron and Steel Co. has won the approval of the municipal government of Urumqi in Xinjiang for its timely supplies of over 50,000 mt of large diameter earthquake-resistant rebar for a local construction project.
 
The project in question started at the beginning of April this year and has been successfully completed with a total investment by RMB2.96 billion ($474million). The project included building and reconstruction of up to 11.29 km of roads in Urumqi, also including bridge construction.
