Baotou Steel obtains ticket to EU

SteelOrbis Shanghai Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region based Baotou Iron & Steel Company (Baotou Steel) has recently obtained European Conformity mark on construction products directive (CE-CPD) for its hot rolled products. Through the examination lasting from August 27 to 31, Baotou Steel's three kinds of hot rolled products (S235, S275, and S355) with totally 10 grades successfully passed the CE-CPD examination of Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited, indicating that this company can export hot rolled products freely to the European Union (EU). According to the relevant construction products directive of the EU, all hot rolled products must obtain CE and the CE-CPD verification after September 1, 2006 to be sold in the EU.
