Baosteel increases bearing steel supplies to Wafangdian Bearing Group

According to Chinese steel giant Baosteel, since 2007 its special steel division has developed and supplied bearing steel suitable for application in wind turbines to Liaoning Province-based bearings producer Wafangdian Bearing Group Corporation. Since 2008, Baosteel has increased supplies of bearing steel for wind turbine application to Wafangdian Bearing Group Corp. by 1,000 mt each year, with the supply volume reaching 3,500 mt in the current year.

Wafangdian Bearing Group Corporation, established in 1938, is the largest steel bearings producer in China. Its products are used in sectors such as railways, automotive, metallurgy, mining, general machinery, petrol, irrigation works, and wind power.
