Baosteel announces Q1 2007 price list

SteelOrbis Shanghai On November 23, Baosteel announced its price list for Q1 2007. The details are as follows; I. Semi finished steel 1. Alloy steel: Prices of B20H, BPD25, B30M, B30PH, B40, B30CrMo, B35CrMo, 20MnMo, and 37CrMnMo4H1 has increased RMB 176/mt ($22); 2. Die steel: Price of BPD26 increased RMB 702/mt ($89); 3. Axle billet: LZ50 and SAF60 increased RMB 176/mt ($22); 4. Oxygen bottle billet: B34Mn2V increased RMB 117/mt ($15); 5. Q4 prices are effective for other semi finished products. II. Wire rod 1. Prices of low carbon wire rod increased RMB 351/mt ($45); 2. B72LX wire rod decreased RMB 234/mt ($30); 3. SCM415, SCM420, SCM430, ML35CrMoZ, ML42CrMo, and BH08MnMoTiB increased RMB 176/mt ($22); 4. Q4 prices are effective for other wire rod specifications. III. Hot rolled Q4 prices are still in effect. The price of SPHC 3.0mm x 1,250 mm x C is RMB 4,378/mt ($558). IV. Hot rolled and pickled Prices increased RMB 117/mt ($15), with SPHC 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C now at RMB 5,378/mt ($685). V. Common quality cold rolled Q4 prices are still in effect. The price of SPCC 0.5 mm x 1,000 mm x C is RMB 6,103/mt ($777), while that of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C is RMB 5,611/mt ($715). VI. Full hard coil The prices for December are still effective for January 2007. VII. Hot dip galvanized Q4 prices are still in effect. The price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C DC51D+Z is RMB 6,642/mt ($846), while that of 0.5 mm x 1,000 mm x C DC51D+Z is RMB 7,133/mt ($909). VIII. Aluminum-zinc Q4 prices are still in effect. The price of 0.5 mm x 1,000 mm x C DC51D+AZ is RMB 7,309/mt ($931). IX. Electro-galvanized and electro-galvanized fingerprint resistant coil 1. Prices of electro-galvanized coil increased RMB 234/mt ($30), and fingerprint resistant coil increased RMB 176/mt ($22). The price of SECC 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C is RMB 6,759/mt ($861), while that of SECCN2 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C is RMB 7,520/mt ($958); 2. Prices of products (thickness<0.5mm) increased another RMB 234/mt ($30), and products (width≥1300mm or ＜900mm) increased a further RMB 117/mt ($15). X. Color coated Prices for January 2007 are as follows. 1. Prices of color coated increased RMB 117/mt ($15) for uncommon color and order quantity less than 30 mt; 2. Prices of hot dip galvanized color coated coil (thickness≤0.4mm) increased RMB 117/mt ($15); 3. Electro-galvanized color coated coil increased RMB 351/mt ($45); 4. Color coated of 100g/m2 (double-sided) for aluminum-zinc is RMB 234/mt ($30) less than color coated of 150g/m2 (double-sided) for aluminum-zinc. XI. Medium Plate Prices for December are still effective in January 2007. Common carbon medium plate is still at RMB 4,400/mt ($561), the price of low alloy plate is RMB 4,600/mt ($586), boiler plate is RMB 4,600/mt ($586), while CCSA shipbuilding plate is still RMB 4,850/mt ($618). The price of SS400 30 mm x 2,000 mm x 12,000 mm is RMB 5,148/mt ($656), while that of 20 mm x 2,000 mm x 12,000 mm shipbuilding plate is RMB 5,675/mt ($723). XII. Electrical Steel Prices increased RMB 176/mt ($22). B50A1000 0.5 mm x 1,000 mm x C is now RMB 5,991/mt ($763); XIII. Electrolytic tinning plate Q4 prices are still in effect. The price of MR 0.25 mm x 800 mm x C is RMB 8,859/mt ($1,129). XIV. Steel pipe 1. Common quality pipe: Q4 prices are still effective. 2. Prices of ERW welded pipe and structural pipe increased RMB 176/mt ($22), while that of pipeline increased RMB 234/mt ($30). All above prices include taxes, and are based on a RMB/USD exchange rate of 1 : 7.85.
