Baogang’s rail and beam plant commissions rolled steel line No. 2

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group) has announced that its rail and beam plant has completed production of 1,080 mt of 60kg/m2 steel rails at its rolled steel production line No.2, with the start of trial production at the line in question.
 
The rolled steel production line No. 2, added to the production line No. 1,is expected to increase the annual output capacity of Baogang’s rail and beam plant to 2.1 million mt, the largest capacity in the world for a rail and beam plant.
 
The output of the rolled steel production line No. 2 will include 400-1,000 mm large and medium-sized H beam, steel piling, bainitic steel rails, and steel rails for use in cranes and railroad switches.
