Baogang to commission upgraded beam production line by end of year

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel (Baogang Group) has announced that it has commenced construction work for the upgrading of the common beam production line at its rail beam plant, with the upgraded facility expected to be commissioned at the end of the current year.

The original production line was commissioned on January 23, 1969, with its output in the same year totaling 12,900 mt. The new production line has a designed annual output capacity of 1.2 million mt, and its main products are 400-1,000 mm H-beam and rail beam.
