Baogang starts to use 210 mm round billet at 180 mm seamless pipe line

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel (Baogang Group) has announced that it recently used 210 mm round billet for the first time as feedstock for its 180 mm seamless pipe production line.

The use of 210 mm round billet will enlarge the product range of the 180 mm seamless pipe production line. Baogang aims to fully replace 180 mm round billet as feedstock by 210 mm round billet before June 2012 and also to increase output.
