Azovstal releases Jan-Nov production results

According to the preliminary results for the January-November 2006 period, the Ukrainian steelmaker Azovstal raised its production of finished steel products by 0.7 percent year on year to 4.8 million metric tons. During the period in question, the enterprise registered an increase of 1.7 percent in crude steel production to 5.7 million metric tons, a rise of two percent in pig iron production to 4.6 million metric tons, but recorded a drop of 7.8 percent in agglomerate production down to 1.8 million metric tons. In November alone, Azovstal produced 439,000 metric tons of finished steel products, 545,000 metric tons of crude steel, 466,000 metric tons of pig iron and 159,000 metric tons of agglomerate.
