Azarbaijan Steel produces 468,500 mt of rebar in first 11 months of Iranian year

Iranian steelmaker Azarbaijan Steel produced 468,500 mt of rebar in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2010), showing an increase of six percent from its rebar output of 443,200 mt in the corresponding period of the last Iranian year - according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

Azarbaijan Steel is currently building a new steel plant with an annual capacity of one million mt of billet, which when it comes on stream will feed the steelmaker's existing rolling mill.
