Average second-grade coke price in China up 4.9 percent in late May

In late May (May 21-30) this year, the average prices in China of coking coal and second-grade metallurgical coke were recorded at RMB 1,350.0/mt ($199.2/mt) and RMB 2,030.4/mt ($294.3/mt), remaining stable and increasing by RMB 94.6/mt ($13.7/mt), or remaining stable and up 4.9 percent, respectively, both compared to prices in mid-May (May 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
